Hope Bible Church was formed in April of 2001, when a group of believers in the Pinellas County area, who lacked a legitimately trained pastor, realized the necessity of sound teaching without fundamentalist dogma, legalistic restrictions, or the teachings of men superimposed on the Word of God. The Pastor-Teacher, Stuart Wolf, had been trained at Maranatha Seminary, (Bethany, OK), from 1983 - 1986, and received a Master's Degree in Theology upon completion of required courses in Biblical Greek, Biblical Hebrew, Isagogics (Biblical history and chronology), and Systematic Theology. Stuart waited for the Lord to unite him with the congregation he was to shepherd, and in January of 2001 he received a call from the group in Pinellas County.  After a period of extensive evaluation by the Bible study group and the pastor candidate, it was agreed by all parties that the group would call Stuart to be their Pastor-Teacher, responsible for teaching the information they would need to excel in the Christian Way of Life, in order to please and glorify God.
He was ordained by Maranatha Church in April of 2001, and moved with his family to Pinellas County.  The church has been meeting regularly ever since.

The name "Hope Bible Church" does not refer to "hope" in the sense most
commonly used today, as in "we hope this is true", but in the biblical Greek
     usage of "confident expectation" (cp 2Cor 3:12; Phi 1:20; Col 1:5; 1Th 5:8-9).

Because God "is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him" (Heb 11:6),
we have full confidence that it is He who guides us, and presents the
truth of His Word through the exercise of the spiritual gifts that He has
                               established in this geographical area.

Hebrews 4:12
"The word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing as far as the
division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
